There are some things money can't buy - for everything else there's Fianna Fail

Overpriced land for new prison - 30 million

MIT Europe Fiasco - 40 million

An electronic voting system that can't be used - 52 million

A payroll system that pays staff 1 million a month - 160 million

Having a government that blows our cash - Priceless

And while there is no doubt that Fianna Fáil are corrupt and show a complete lack of judgement.
You must ask who was it that provided the research and recommendations that these things should and be purchased?
As the answer to all that can not be blamed on FF but on faceless civil servants. Not all of them from the FF camp and other 'experts, decisions are made on poor advice. And it is time to start shooting a few messengers, in metrophorical terms of course.
The other question is what is the alternatives? And when you look at that you end up thinking well are FF really that bad.
What we need is accountable government, where ministers can be recalled and sacked, mid-term. Then when someone buys an electronic voting system that can not be used, they know they are for the sack, and resign post haste.
